Smiling Sunflower
A flower from my beautiful Valentine's Day bouquet that my hubby gave me!
Flowers just make me smile....especially in the middle of winter.
Snow Lines
I have always loved the lines the snow creates in the ridges of this mountain side.
And the fresh blanket of snow made this scene extra pretty.
Eagle Tree with Pair of Eagles
These were two of five eagles I saw on my weekly grocery shopping trip to Durango. I spotted an eagle in the "eagle tree." I wasn't going to stop until I noticed there were two! They were very active as you can see from the sequence of pictures. The lighting was harsh, but I think they are still great shots.

Rustic Window
I was searching for something rustic to photograph and I came upon this small building with very cool wood and this rustic window.
Pavement Heart
My dear friend has been capturing hearts found in everything from nature to spilled juice. I found this heart in some pavement on my walk. I never would have taken a second look if it wasn't for my friend. I converted this image to black and white for some drama and to try out a new method of converting images to black and white that I just learned. This one's for you April...hope you like it!
Big Eagle
I can't believe how many eagles I have seen this year! And as you can see, I do not tire of photographing eagles. This one is perched in our "eagle tree." She especially caught my eye because she was noticeably larger than other eagles I have been seeing, so I'm assuming she's a female. We saw her in the same spot two days in a row. I just love living in Bayfield! So much beauty here.

Sky Lines
I've been keeping my eyes open for interesting lines or patterns to photograph. These clouds in the sky caught my attention.
Pair of Eagles
This pair of eagles were two of the seven eagles I saw on my morning trip to Durango. They were fine being my models from a distance. But, once I started driving closer, one eagle flew away. The other stayed. So the first eagle circled back and seemed to tell the other, "let's go." That's when the second eagle finally flew off.
Eagle in "Eagle Tree"
On my weekly grocery shopping trip to Durango this week I was super lucky to spot seven different eagles!! I was able to photograph three of them. This eagle was perched in the "eagle tree."
