Lily

I have been wanting a nice macro lens for a long time now.  

I have saved money for new camera equipment before, but always purchased more practical items for my portrait photography.  

But, I was finally able to get that macro lens.....and it is sweet!  

I'm already eyeing all of the blossoms on the fruit trees around town.

Balcony House

Balcony House at Mesa Verde National Park.  

This was the perfect opportunity for a frame within a frame shot.  

The tour of Balcony House was lots of fun.  

We climbed ladders and crawled through a tunnel.  

Life and Death

I don't really like skulls.  

But my friend, Krista, wanted me to take this shot.  

I put the focus on the flower and blurred the skull.  

I do really like the lighting and the shadow cast on the barn wood from the flower.

Prom

Chyenne and her friends on Prom night.

  These girls were very good sports.  The weather was ridiculous.  It did, however, clear up for us just in time to take some pictures-thankfully.  

It was literally freezing out and we got into a little mud.  But the girls did great, allowing for these memorable shots.

My 40th Birthday Cake!

Some branches twisted all the way down to the ground.

Ducklings

Cute little ducklings we found on the River Walk in San Antonio. 

 There was a fourth one, but he was too fast to be in the picture.  

We didn't see the mama anywhere.
